2026年4月21日（火）に開催されました例会の時に最後にRegional centerのクライアントでもグリーンカードやシチズン以外、駐在員ビザや他のビザでMedicalがもらえないと言う情報があったのですが、何か以前誰でもMedicalがもらえるように変更されたと聞いたので、スカーレットさんに確認したところ、
下の回答がありました。やはり今は誰でも合法的なステータスがあればビザでもMedi-Calをもらえるようです。

Non-citizens are still eligible for Medi-Cal benefits, regardless of immigration status. Starting in 2027, those who do not have satisfactory immigration status will have a small copayment of $30.
Those who have satisfactory legal status (green card holder or visa for example) can qualify for Medi-Cal

A child with disabilities that is eligible for regional center can still get on Institutional Deeming Medicaid Waiver allowing the child access to Medi-Cal insurance regardless of parental income and assets. As long as the child has lawful (satisfactory) immigration status, which they do if parent here on work Visa, the child with disabilities can qualify for Medi-Cal through the regional center institutional deeming process. This access to Medi-Cal will enable them to apply for IHSS which can pay the parent to provide the hours, up to 283 hours/month for those with severe impairments in memory, orientation, and judgment. Again, the child must just need to have satisfactory immigration status. Regional Center Medicaid waiver goes up to age 21. Hopefully, sometime between 18-21 years old, the parent (on behalf of their adult with disabilities) can apply for SSI benefits. Once a person is found SSI eligible, they automatically get Medi-Cal.
